Innis & Gunn's Toasted Oak India Pale Ale is the least of the beers I've had lately, and I have no idea why it's billed as an IPA. But it isn't bad. It pours a clear, dark gold color with a trace of head. The aroma is vanilla, butter, a hint of oak. The flavor is very sweet upfront, and rich and malty in the finish. If you have your heart set on a true IPA, prepare to be disappointed. I think this is more of a classic English ale. But, at that, it's a fairly good one.
