Tonight at dinner I had a Smithwick's "Ale." It is a red, copper color with a trace of a head. There is no aroma at all. None. Zilch. Paper smells stronger and more appetizing than this stuff. The body was watery and the flavor was a very, very, very mild, watery malt. There was also a damn near undetectable tone of something like applesauce. This stuff didn't ruin dinner, but a glass of water would have been just as good.
