My girlfriend's house is far closer to my workplace than my own house is, so because of the weather I just stayed at her place last night. It was a last minute decision, and I just grabbed a couple of beers and didn't bring any glassware. That's how we ended up drinking a hefeweizen out of a regular, good ol' table glass. Hofbrau Munchner Hefeweizen is a slight, unassuming beer. It pours a clear, pale yellow with an average head. There is some banana and a light, lemon citrus in the aroma, and there is some of that in the flavor, along with a mild hop tingle. Hefeweizen is a style Kay really enjoys, and she liked this. She picked up on a little citrus and sweetness, and said that it reminded her of Michelob, but a little better. I think that's about right.
